Great places to eat from all around the world
Dallas, TX
1. Asian Mint: Dallas, Tx
Asian mint was created about 5 years ago. It brings together not only the best thai food in the metroplex but also manages to surpass the competition in sushi, dessert, chinese, thai and some vietnamese food. My personal favorites here are the pad thai, pad kee mow and the tiramisu.

2. Jeng Chi Bakery: Richardson, TX (Chinatown)
This place has the best potstickers and green onion pancakes on this side of the globe. Its been around since I was a little kid. A very dynamic crowd, and a very interesting ambience makes this place unique. Its dirt cheap too. The food is sooo good and its really easy to stuff yourself!

3. Hey Cupcake: Austin, TX (SoCo)
Hey Cupcake. For those of you all that like novelty cupcakes you have met your match. Sprinkles is really not that great once you have tried this place. They may have less choices but good luck getting your cupcakes if you go at the wrong time. This place boasts really long lines, moderately expensive cupcakes ($2.50 each), and the true Austin feeling because it is out of an AIR STREAM TRAILER! Ok guys for those of you that are skeptics seriously you need to just be bold. Once upon a time I would have never tried this but I make it atleast a once a month affair.

4. Crepes Mille: Austin, TX (SoCo)
Crepes Mille. Ah so the day begins. The adventure to south congress for cupcakes turns into the discovery of this new place for crepes. I had heard about it saw the menu and thought eeek. Until I tried it. Again it boasts an AIR STREAM TRAILER. Skeptics, Calm Down. It's damn good. If you want your nutella fill the nutella crepe is pretty freaking great. It is slightly pricey ($4.50 each) and the Savory crepes are rather interesting, I have not tried them yet ($6.95). There are combinations that are simple and those almost like a pad thai on a crepe. So eat them at your discretion. Overall really good!

5. La Tazza Fresca: Austin, TX (West 37th and Guadalupe)
Okay European or American, coffee rocks here. I don't really fancy coffee nor the taste of it especially if its not sweet. The vanilla caramel latte rocked! This stuff is legit and its so cheap. Cheaper than starbucks, made fresh and the sizes are huge. They have many different types of coffee and options for whatever you may like. Really good. The place is small the parking is bad its true but still you will sacrifice if you have the opportunity to try it.

6. Frank And Angies Pizzeria
I love pizza. Tried this place out last year for my birthday and I realized that it is pretty legit pizza. I Took the study abroad students from Europe and Asia and they felt the same way. Thin crust, high quality ingredients and really nice service and friendly people.

7. Star Pizza
This is the best pizza that I have eaten in Texas. Joe's pizza or the margharita....wheat crust yum. Its really good and for the quality its quite reasonably priced. I enjoy the roasted garlic appetizer also. Overall its a good find, thank tina for that.

8. Dessert Gallery
Mama's chocolate cake. Oh goodness. Lets say that those people that thought they could die by eating chocolate when you walk into this place you will understand that it is very possible, but how can you resist the good ol' chocolate temptation. Go enjoy being a fatty!

Hong Kong
10. USRC Club: Hong Kong, China (Kowloon) (By membership only)
For all you Butter Chicken Lovers here it is. Now this place has a solid menu. Vegetarians you wont feel left out. USRC has some of the best Indian chefs in South Asia. They are mostly chefs that used to work at five-stars in India that made the move to a different part of the world. To date I still have withdrawls about that butter chicken. It really is just that good. Also its a cool place. Ping pong on the grounds, tennis, swimming, etc. All options available. So make friends in Hong Kong and start trying it as soon as you visit.
